Medical Education Systems, Inc. (MedEdSys) offers healthcare professionals, including nurses and respiratory therapists, a streamlined platform to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through various courses. Here’s an overview of how the site operates, including the process for taking a test:

  1. Account Creation:

    • New users must create an account by providing personal and professional details.

  2. Course Selection:

    • Navigate to the appropriate section for your profession (e.g., Nursing or Respiratory Therapy) and select your licensed state.
    • Browse the list of available courses tailored to your profession and state requirements.
    • Choose a course and decide on the delivery method: online (immediate access) or via USPS (physical materials).

  3. Purchasing Courses:

    • Click on your profession then chose your state, Add the desired course to your cart and proceed to checkout.
    • Payment options include credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Expres, PayPal, Venmo etc)

  4. Accessing Course Materials:

    • For online delivery:
      • Log into your account and navigate to “My Account-Dashboard-Online Courses.”
      • Click on the course name to access downloadable materials, typically in PDF format. Test-Quiz is right below the course name (the test can be taken multiple times until achieving a passing score)
    • For USPS delivery:
      • Wait for the physical course materials to arrive by mail.

  5. Studying and Test Completion:

    • Review the course materials thoroughly.
    • Access the test by clicking on the course name under the “Quizzes” section in your account.
    • Complete the test online. You can retake it multiple times until achieving a passing score of at least 80%, with no additional fees for retakes.

  6. Submitting Tests (for USPS Delivery):

    • Fill out the provided answer sheet.
    • Submit your completed test via:

      • Mail: P.O. Box 81831, San Diego, CA 92138
    • Upon receipt, MedEdSys will grade your exam. If you pass, a certificate will be mailed to you. In case of failure, they will provide further instructions.

  7. Receiving Certificates:

    • For online test completion:
      • A certificate of completion is instantly generated upon passing and available under “My Account” (green check-mark), available for print or download.
    • For mailed submissions:
      • A physical certificate will be sent to your address upon successful grading.
    • Additional copies of certificates can be mailed for a $10 fee.
